Land
Read the terrain. Understand what is already there.
An independent practice. A connected perspective.

DELONIX approaches landscape as an interconnected system of ecology, infrastructure, culture and human use.
Every project begins with its existing conditions: climate, water, topography, vegetation, soil and patterns of occupation. Design emerges from that understanding.
Read the terrain. Understand what is already there.
Consider seasonal change, irrigation and the movement of water.
Work with vegetation, soil and the relationships that sustain them.
Make places that support everyday life.

Paul Camille N’DRI established DELONIX; he is an agricultural engineer who completed his education at INP-HB in Yamoussoukro and possesses a Master of Landscape Architecture from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
He set up ASFA (Agricultural Solutions For Africa) and ASFA IRRIGATION NG, companies that specialised in irrigation and precision agriculture, and is currently concentrating on the creation of ecological landscapes which are beneficial to both local communities and the environment, including all living organisms.
The kind of background that is available determines what DELONIX provides, which includes farm and agroforestry planning, irrigation and water storage, residential gardens, parks and public spaces, and ecological restoration, all of which are supported by site analysis, GIS mapping, visualisation and construction documentation.
Based in Abuja, Nigeria, DELONIX works across Nigeria, West Africa and internationally. The studio considers tropical vegetation, seasonal rainfall, soil, heat and local construction knowledge alongside the spatial ambitions of each project.
Expertise spans landscape architecture, productive land, irrigation, site planning, mapping and visual communication.
DELONIX is led directly by its founder. Collaboration with clients, architects and specialist consultants is shaped around the needs of each project.
