A new system
Size the system to the water source and the planting before equipment, pipes and storage are committed.
Irrigation design and water storage strategy for farms, estates and landscapes, planned around the source, the terrain and the way the site is run.
Irrigation sits at the centre of our agricultural work. Our founder, Paul Camille N’DRI, established ASFA IRRIGATION NG, a company specialising in irrigation and precision agriculture, and that experience shapes how we plan water on every site.
We plan irrigation around crop or planting requirements, available flow and pressure, terrain and operating conditions, so the system suits both the water source and the people who run it.
Based in Abuja, we work across Nigeria, West Africa and internationally. Each design responds to local conditions, seasonal rainfall and the information available for that particular site.

Size the system to the water source and the planting before equipment, pipes and storage are committed.
Review zoning, pressure, filtration and storage where coverage is uneven or the system no longer matches the site.
Extend irrigation to new blocks or areas in step with the source, the storage and the existing network.
Establish the water source, its dependable yield and quality, and how supply changes through the seasons. Identify the tests or records needed before the system is sized.
Estimate water demand from the crops or planting, the climate and the irrigated area, and compare it with what the source and storage can reliably deliver.
Select the irrigation method for each area according to the planting, soils, terrain and the way the site will be operated and maintained.
Divide the site into irrigation zones and size mains, laterals and emitters with hydraulic calculations, checking flow and pressure across the terrain.
Specify filtration, valves and controls, with access for routine cleaning and repair, and provision for maintenance and future expansion.
Set out indicative storage requirements and the location of tanks or reservoirs, and phase the network so later areas connect without rework.
The agreed scope may include:
Concept layouts establish direction. Detailed design is developed to the appointed scope once flow, pressure and site information are confirmed.
Define objectives, intended uses, operating requirements and budget priorities. Review site information and agree the investigations needed.
Compare layout options and establish the preferred organisation of land, movement, water and landscape systems.
Resolve the appointed design scope, coordinate specialist input and prepare drawings, schedules and quantities for pricing and implementation.
Where appointed, respond to design queries and undertake agreed site observations, with attention to establishment and the next development phase.
The operator’s routine is part of the brief: when water is available, who runs the system, how it is cleaned and what can be repaired locally all shape the design.
We coordinate irrigation design with agronomic and engineering input where required. Borehole drilling and testing, electrical supply, and the detailed structural and civil design of tanks and reservoirs need their own appropriate appointments.
Send the location, approximate area and what you plan to grow or plant, with what you know about the water: borehole, river, dam or mains supply, and any yield or pressure figures. A boundary plan or KMZ file is a useful starting point.
